Genoa president Preziosi: AC Milan want El Sharaawy

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi was delighted with their summer market work.

Preziosi revealed AC Milan wanted Stefan El Sharaawy.

"We were the kings of the transfer market, but with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho in the final days, I have to bow down to Galliani," confessed Preziosi.

"Milan also wanted El Sharaawy, but that is out of the question. The lad is doing very well at Padova and will return to us."

It is now reported that Inter are desperate to sign 17-year-old starlet El Sharaawy, who has Italian citizenship.

The Nerazzurri still own half of defender Andrea Ranocchia.

"Now he is worth at least €20m. If Massimo Moratti wants to talk about it now, then he's welcome to, but let me be clear Ranocchia will stay at Genoa at least until the end of the season."
