Genoa midfielder Tomas Rincón has passed his medical at Juventus.

The Venezuela international is set to join on a €2m loan.

"Tomas Eduardo Rincón took a significant step towards becoming a Juventus player on Thursday, the Venezuelan successfully completing a medical ahead of his proposed transfer from Genoa," a statement on the club's official website confirmed.

"Checking in at the club's J|Medical facility shortly after 09.00 CET, the 29 year old was rigorously put through his paces before being officially signed off in the middle of the afternoon."

However, the deal is yet to be formally announced.
