Crystal Palace have reportedly made a £6.5million bid for Genoa's Tomas Rincon.
The Daily Mail claims that Palace have lodged the offer with the Italian club in the hope of sealing a deal before Wednesday night's deadline.
Eagles boss Alan Pardew is eager to find an apt replacement for departed captain Mile Jedinak, who recently joined Aston Villa, and sees Venezuela captain Rincon as that man.
The 28-year-old's ability to operate at right-back is also attractive to the South London club.
Rincon has been with Genoa since 2014 after spending more than five years in Germany with Hamburg.
