Genoa midfielder Diego Perotti is finalising a move to Roma today.

He played at Marassi in this afternoon's 0-0 draw with Fiorentina before driving straight to the airport.

“I am sorry to leave like this, but it is a very important opportunity for me," Perotti told Sky Sport Italia.

“I send a huge hug to all the Genoa fans who supported me from the first moment I arrived here. I gave everything I had on the pitch for them.

“At the end of the day, I think it's a good opportunity for the club too.

“Roma are playing better than in previous weeks and will also be in the Champions League Round of 16."
