Genoa are moving for Inter Milan defender Marco Materazzi.

The 36 year-old World Cup winner has declared, through his agent, a willingness to listen to offers this month.

Panathinaikos are keen, while Genoa president Enrico Preziosi plans to take advantage of their good relationship with Inter to land Materazzi this month.

The stumbling block for Genoa will be Materazzi's wages, with the centre-half earning a cool €3 million-a-year to 2012.
