A Genoa fan has been run down by the Fiorentina team bus.

The tension was sky high after yesterday's 3-3 draw, with Adrian Mutu scoring with the last kick of the game.

Angry Rossoblu supporters gathered outside the stadium and threw objects at the Fiorentina team bus when it drove out from the car park, including bottles and rocks.

It is believed the bus driver was trying to find a way out as quickly as possible in these chaotic circumstances.

The reports suggest the driver did not even know he had struck the 37-year-old Genoa fan, named Gabriele Amato, as he fell under the back wheels of the bus.

With the tension in this situation, a police escort accompanied the Fiorentina bus.
