Newcastle United striker Facundo Ferreyra is attracting interest from Italy.

The 23-year-old joined the club on a season-long loan from Shakhtar Donetsk in early August.

However, Italian sources say Genoa are chasing the Argentine for the January market.

Asked this week whether Ferreyra would feature in the second of the season, Toon manager Alan Pardew said: "We will have to wait and see."
