Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini is delighted with the arrival of former Fiorentina captain Dario Dainelli.

The defender completed his transfer from Fiorentina this week and will get his debut in the starting XI.

"Dainelli is ready to play straight away and I think he will be there from the start against Roma," said the Coach.

"He will immediately improve our back line and I am certain he'll settle straight in to the tactical system."

He added: "We will see a great duel between Dainelli and Luca Toni, but the real battle will be between the two overall teams.

"We absolutely need to improve on our travels if we are to make a big step up in the standings."
