Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini is confident they can improve in the second-half of the season.

Genoa start 2010 against Milan and also face Catania, Roma, Atalanta and Napoli before the first month is out.

Gasperini said: "Those who know me know that I always look to the future, and in particular to the month of January that for then we will be pushed hard in our engagements.

"But we come from a big 2009. The greater emotions we felt this year have been our victories in the three derbies and the spectacular 3-2 win against Juventus".
