Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini says they will fight Fiorentina all the way for fourth place after last night's derby victory over Sampdoria.

Gasperini said: "All I can do is experience this wonderful moment we are going through and so far we have broken many records this season, such as winning both derbies and finishing ahead of Sampdoria.

"This is a very important victory also for our European challenge, as being eight points clear of Palermo is an excellent advantage. It is already an important objective, but we will fight it out to the end with Fiorentina for fourth place."
