Genoa are closing on a deal for Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari.

Gazzetta dello Sport says the Ghanaian international midfielder's representative Federico Pastorello has met with Grifone President Enrico Preziosi on Monday in Milan to finalise details of a six-month switch to Marassi this winter.

Muntari, currently on duty for his country in the Africa Cup of Nations held in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, has made just four appearances for the Nerazzurri this season, playing just 157 minutes of football in Italy.
