Despite criticising him after the weekend's loss to Chievo, Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has backed manager Gian Piero Gasperini.
The Rossoblu went down 3-1 to Chievo, the result attracting criticism, but Preziosi has retained confidence in his head coach.
"I don't sack coaches, especially after two rounds of games played," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I just expressed my opinion (after the game) regarding certain tactical decisions that were taken by the coach and which I wasn't in agreement with. But that is all.
"Gasperini remains the coach. I have confidence in him and I just don't change my mind after one bad game."
