Genoa are closing in on QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt.

The Rs are ready to sell the playmaker this month and talks with Genoa will intensify today.

Genoa sporting director Daniele Delli Carri is flying to London this morning to meet with QPR boss Harry Redknapp about a deal for Taarabt.

Taarabt has made it clear he doesn't want to play in the Championship this season.
