Genoa coach Alberto Malesani was proud of Cristobal Jorquera's decisive performance in victory over Lazio.

The 23-year-old Chilean created the goal for Rodrigo Palacio.

"I was the one who insisted he stay in the squad. He knows how to play cross-field passes with a quality I have rarely seen in my life," enthused Malesani.

"He had a fantastic game, but now there is the risk he could get big-headed."
