Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini was delighted with their 3-0 win over Udinese.
Robert Acquafresca scored his first two goals for Genoa following his January move from Atalanta.
"All that mattered today was that we got back on track after the defeat to Juventus," said Gasperini.
"It could've been a heavy psychological blow and perhaps at the start of the game we were suffering from it, as we made some silly mistakes.
"After the goal, we broke the ice and found our rhythm. We certainly need to improve and will only look at the table later on."
