Genoa admit trying for Fiorentina winger Cerci

Genoa have confirmed they tried to sign Fiorentina winger Alessio Cerci.

The wide attacking player was linked with a January switch to Marassi, but the window closed without the move taking place.

“There was a possibility to take Cerci,” Rossoblu sporting director Stefano Capozucca told Radio Blu on Friday afternoon. “However, the deal wasn’t finalised.”
