“Palacio is our target. My son is own his way to Buenos Aires to sign him,” revealed Genoa president Enrico Preziosi.
The 27-year-old could join the Grifoni for £4m but the Rossoblu and the departure of Matteo Ferrari has given the Liguri yet more cash to invest on the market.
“I am sad about Ferrari’s departure, although I was more disappointed to let (Diego) Milito go,” said Preziosi.
“We couldn’t offer him all that money so he did well to choose Besiktas.”
