RacingGenk goalkeeper coach Guy Martens says Thibaut Courtois needs another season away from Chelsea.

Genk sold Courtois to Chelsea last summer before they sent him on-loan to Atletico Madrid.

Martens says: "I do not think Courtois should immediately return to Chelsea. Petr Cech is one of the best keepers in the world, has extensive experience and is a club stalwart.

"Perhaps the training at Chelsea is on a higher level, but I think Thibaut is not for the bench."

He added: "He is well coached at Atletico Madrid and this is pleasing Chelsea. He should not change for change's sake."
