Generation adidas to take on Spanish clubs

A 19-man MLS Generation adidas squad are in Spain for training and friendlies against top Spanish clubs.

The team will train at Real Madrid's training facilities and will then play three games against Real Madrid reserves on December 2, Rayo Vallecano on December 7 and Atletico Madrid on December 8.

Philadelphia Union young gun Danny Mwanga said the trip was a great opportunity for the promising MLS players.

"It's a great opportunity playing against the reserve team for Real Madrid. It's one of the top teams in the world," said Mwanga. "I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a lot of things we're gonna learn from playing against them. European soccer - it's a different style from MLS. We're gonna learn some of things they do, even if it's a friendly game."

Portland Timbers recruit Jeremy Hall agreed with Mwanga's sentiments: "We're going to get some good competition and we'll learn stuff from the players we're playing against.

"These kids have been with the club since they were maybe 10- or 11-years old," Hall added. "They play the same style and all these kids are good."
