Gelson Fernandes is pleased with the way he has settled in his first season at Manchester City.
He speaks five languages, English having jumped up the proficiency list since he arrived here in the summer, and he has made it clear with his feet that Eriksson's early assertion that he is 'one for the future' was well wide of the mark.
"There are not many Swiss players who have made the move - Arsenal's Philippe Senderos perhaps being the best known - but maybe I will start a trend and more will follow in our footsteps," he said as he headed for London
"I didn't have big problems adjusting to the pace of the game here. Problems such as that are usually mental more than physical and I do not have problems!"
