Gelson Martins is still waiting for his move to Atletico Madrid to be rubberstamped.

The Portugal winger remains tied to Sporting CP, despite rescinding his contract earlier this month.

AS says Gelson arrived in Madrid on Monday hoping to kick along negotiations. Atletico submitted their second offer to Sporting yesterday.

Gelson's decision to terminate his contract was done unilaterally citing the trashing of the club's training HQ by ultras at the end of last season.

However, FIFA are yet to recognise the midfielder as a free agent, so leaving Atletico having to negotiate terms with Sporting for the player.
