Gelson Fernandes is delighted with his first months at Manchester City.
The Swiss midfielder was recruited by Sven Goran Eriksson from FC Sion over the summer.
He had to wait to be given his chance in the Premier League but now has three successive starts under his belt and looks set to line up against Tottenham on Sunday.
Fernandes maintains that he never had doubts about his move to Eastlands, having been an avid fan of English football since his youth.
"I always make my own decisions and do what feels right in my heart," Fernandes told the club's official website.
"Whether or not I like the country or the kind of football was always going to play a big part in choosing where I moved to and when City came along, I knew this was the move for me.
"I love England and English football, which I've always watched and loved since being a kid, so I am very happy to be a Manchester City player."
