Gelson Fernandes says he's improved as a player under Manchester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson.

The 21-year-old Swiss star joined City for £4.5m last summer and he said: "I have improved in every area. Physically, technically and tactically I have made huge advances.

"You can hardly compare the challenges, high pace rhythm and individual class of the Premier League to the football I was used to in Switzerland."
