Gedion Zelalem has returned to training at Arsenal.

The Sun says Zelalem has been out of action for 16 months after rupturing the cruciate ligament in his right knee while on international duty.

The 21-year-old was playing for the USA team at the Fifa U20 World Cup out in South Korea when he crumpled onto the floor.

He had only played 34 minutes of his team's first game of the competition against Ecuador when injury hell struck.

Big things were expected of Zelalem ever since he burst onto the scene with some impressive performances for Arsenal during their 2013 pre-season tour of Asia.
