Dwight Gayle is battling to stay with Crystal Palace.

The Daily Mail says still has much to do to convince manager Tony Pulis he has a long-term future with the Eagles.

Pulis was keen on letting the 23-year-old leave during the January transfer window - just seven months after his club record £4.5million move from Posh.

The Palace boss was open to either a permanent move or loan deal for Gayle at the turn of the year and despite his heroics against Liverpool on Monday night, Pulis will still consider offers.
