Arsenal defender Gavin Hoyte hopes to play in the first team with older brother Justin this season.

Gavin joined his brother Justin on the team sheet in the Carling Cup match with Newcastle the other week, but the youngster can't wait to stand side by side with him on the pitch.

"It was a brilliant experience for me to be part of the squad and getting on the bench was great and was the highlight of the season for me so far. Hopefully next time I'll be able to get off the bench, even more a warm up," he told arsenal.com. "I know it's only a warm up, but it's a step forward and you're able to interact a bit with the crowd which adds to the experience.

"One of my targets has always been to play football with my brother. I think my mum's going to write Mr Wenger a letter because she wants it to happen so much too."
