Bill Gaudette is available for action with LA Galaxy in perfect time following the hernia problem sustained by Brian Perk.
The 30-year old goalkeeper has been out with a quadriceps injury suffered in a pre-season match against Chivas USA but is now back in full training and is excited to serve as back-up to current number one Josh Saunders with Perk set to miss six weeks after having surgery for his hernia.
"Hopefully I'm back fully healthy. I'm excited.
"Having that opportunity to stay fit and focused and doing some work with (goalkeeping coach) Ian (Feuer) off the field has really helped keep me in the game, not just sitting there watching and calling it a day," he added. "I give a lot of credit to Ian just to help me deal with aspects of the game you deal with when you're injured.
"It's behind me now. Hopefully it's the last (injury) of the year.""It was nice to be back with the boys, getting back on the field and competing," he said after his first full training in about a month. "It's been a while.
