Rino Gattuso has backed AC Milan's move for Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko. "Dzeko is an important player, who would play for us like he has this season," said Gattuso. "He's a great player, a type similar to Marco Borriello, although Wolfsburg played him on the wing."

Asked about Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo's world record move to Real Madrid, Gattuso added: "I read that (UEFA president Michel) Platini was angry: who has the money spends it, and who doesn't, can't.

"Unless you bring in a salary cap like the NBA, there is no remedy. It seems difficult to me."
