Gattuso: AC Milan too long without Scudetto triumph

AC Milan midfielder Rino Gattuso admits their Scudetto drought has been too long.

“It has been five years since we won the title and for Milan that is far too long. We all need to make sacrifices and be ready to suffer for every point," said Gattuso.

“Milan are a team who can fight for three to four games, but to win the Scudetto you have to do that for at least 10-15.

“My reference points are Fabio Capello’s Juventus and the current Inter squad, as both embody physical strength and efficiency without necessarily playing the most spectacular football.

"It’s no coincidence that the symbol of both teams is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who gave them that extra spark.”
