Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini was delighted with their late win over Bari.
Luca Toni struck five minutes into injury time to give Genoa the three points.
"We had courage because we went to attack them high up the pitch, taking great risks," Gasperini said. "It was the game that we wanted to play. I like to play in the opponent's half of the pitch.
"They focused on counterattacking, imposing their play from the back, starting with the goalkeeper.
"They are unique in the world for their way of playing.
"Today the new players have understood what it's like to win with Genoa."
