Gasperini plays down talk of more Genoa arrivals

Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini has urged fans to forget about new signings.

The Rossoblu moved quickly in the transfer market, but several negotiations to add to their squad are still on going.

"I don't think it is wise yet to talk about targets," said Gasperini. "We better start worrying about working hard and entertaining our fans like we have done in the past.

"We are all really motivated and I have a deep tie with this club."

In the meantime, President Enrico Preziosi has given his Coach two precious gifts: Luca Toni, who will replace Sergio Floccari, and Eduardo, who takes Marco Amelia's gloves.

"With the captures of Toni and Eduardo we covered two important positions with players who we can rely on," he said.

"Still we have time to build our team. But we don't have to rush - let us not forget that Thiago Motta arrived two years ago when the transfer market was practically closed."
