Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini believes the next three games will decide their European hopes.
After their 5-3 thumping of Cagliani, Genoa are clear in seventh place ahead of Napoli.
"The next three games will decide the future of Genoa," said Gasperini ahead of clashes with Fiorentina, Palermo and Siena.
"Today's victory made the fans happy and put us in an important position in the table. It was wonderful to score five goals with five different players and everyone was exceptional, especially in the first half.
"This is a performance that gives us confidence when going into the big games. We want to be in the thick of that race for the positions that matter."
