Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini was delighted with the thumping of FK Sarajevo in their Europa League qualifier.
The Orobici drew 2-2 in the first leg, but tonight in Bosnia they secured a huge 8-0 win to set up a clash with Hapoel Haifa in the third qualifying round.
“It was an experience," Gasperini said, speaking to Sky Italia after the final whistle.
“It seems strange to draw 2-2 at home and then win 8-0 here. We started strong, we scored right away and after not much time we were already 3-0 up. They had a nervous collapse.
“The objective is to reach the group stage, we'll work hard knowing that there could be surprises along the way, even if it's easier with two games."
