Gasperini explains hooking Zarate half-hour into Inter debut: Moratti has not called me

Inter Milan coach Gian Piero Gasperini explained hooking Mauro Zarate 34 minutes into his debut for yesterday's defeat at Palermo.

Zarate was replaced by Wesley Sneijder, who controversially started on the bench after a summer linking him with Manchester United.

"The change of Zarate? Mauro in training was brilliant, the heat of this evening saw him stall and so I put on Sneijder, who has done very well," said Gasperini.

"President (Massimo) Moratti? No I haven't heard from him, he hasn't called."
