Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini is demanding more from his players after their 2-0 win over Europa League opponents Slavia Prague.
Alberto Zapater and Giuseppe Sculli struck for Genoa.
"We have vast margin for improvement," insisted Gasperini. "We can do even better and must work hard to improve."
Many feared Genoa would have problems this season after selling star players Thiago Motta and Diego Milito to Inter, but instead they seem to have been strengthened.
"I have a very good squad at my disposal and everyone will find their own space between the Serie A and continental games.
"All they have to do is keep working hard and improving all the time."
