Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini admits the club is buzzing over their start to the season.

He said: "We are very happy to have reached the group stages of the Europa League and to have got maximum points in Serie A.

"We didn't expect it, especially in light of the excellent sales we made in the transfer window. The players who stayed have been very good in transferring the Genoa spirit and our style of play to the new arrivals."
