Former Barcelona president Joan Gaspart admits he's a big fan of Gerard Pique.

Gaspart tips the defender to be a future president.

"Pique could be president," Gaspart told Radio Marca.

"I've known him since he was a kid and he's showing that as a businessman he does very well.

"If Beckenbauer, Angel Maria Villar and Platini can do it... why not Pique?"

Suggestions that Barcelona aren't currently playing the way supporters are used to were met with short shrift by Gaspart.

"Valverde hasn't changed the 'Barca DNA,' because he hasn't lost a game," he said.

"He uses certain tactics with the players he has available.

"I only enjoy watching Barcelona if we win.

"People can go to the theatre or cinema and enjoy that.

"If Barcelona plays badly and wins, I go to bed happy."
