Gartside: Coyle methods inspiring Bolton youngsters

Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside says manager Owen Coyle's playing style is inspiring their young players.

The Trotters believe they have several academy youngsters on the brink of a first team breakthrough.

Gartside told the Bolton News: "With Owen's philosophy and positive attitude, it's bled down to the academy. If they can see a 17-year-old coming in from Arsenal who has never played a first team game for them like Jack Wilshere did when he was on loan here, those players suddenly think there's a big chance to do the same.

"Owen is interested in the youth and he'll go and watch them. He encourages them at the training ground.

That attitude isn't just about the first team, it's about the development squad too."
