The Garrone family cannot guarantee Antonio Cassano remaining with Sampdoria beyond the end of this season.

Cassano is back in the first team at Samp and again amongst the goals.

Edoardo Garrone, the son of Samp owner Riccardo Garrone, yesterday insisted the Champions League was not a set target for this season.

On Cassano, he added: "The future of Cassano is not tied to Champions League qualification. His future? In the plans here, he remains with Sampdoria, but in the world of football there are many variables."
