New Napoli signing Walter Gargano is delighted after his first days with the promoted club.

Although he only put pen to paper on the contract five days ago, he has already made an impression on the supporters during the 1-1 draw with Ofk Belgrade on Saturday night.

"It was a good performance, but I have to thank my teammates for helping me to settle in so quickly," said the midfielder.

"I was given a great welcome and they speak slowly so I can understand Italian a little better. It's a wonderful group here."

Gargano is an impressive swoop for the newly promoted club, as he is a pivotal central midfielder who describes himself as part Gennaro Gattuso, part David Pizarro.

"I am accustomed to seeing a lot of the ball in my position. There's a responsibility there, but I have no problem with that. In fact, I enjoy it. I play the ball a great deal and spark new moves."
