Inter Milan midfielder Walter Gargano is excited by the prospect of new signings this summer.

Gargano has already welcomed Hugo Campagnaro and Mauro Icardi to the club.

Campagnaro is expected to arrive in the summer on a free transfer from Napoli, while Sampdoria striker Icardi is a top target for the Beneamata.

"Campagnaro is a really important player in a squad," he said of his former Azzurri teammate in an interview with Mediaset.

"He's a calm and reserved guy, but he transforms when he gets on to the pitch. Everyone knows what he can do and he'll help us a lot."

Asked about 19-year-old Icardi, Gargano noted: "Everyone has seen what he is capable of, he's a boy of great quality.

"If he comes here then he'll give us the helping hand that we need."
