England U21 head coach Gareth Southgate has been made favourite to succeed Roy Hodgson in the England senior job.
The former Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough defender is 6/4 with SkyBet to step into the role vacated by Hodgson in the wake of the Three Lions' 2-1 loss to Iceland in the Round of 16 at Euro2016.
It is understood that Southgate is the prime candidate to become next England manager after leading the Young Lions to victory in the Toulon Tournament last month.
Southgate, 45, is ahead of Crystal Palace's Alan Pardew (8/1), Bournemouth's Eddie Howe, Celtic's Brendan Rodgers (both 10/1), Harry Redknapp (16/1) and Sam Allardyce (18/1).
