Montreal Impact have traded Josh Gardner to Sporting Kansas City in exchange for their highest second round pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft.
The Canadian club will pick up selection 32 in the January 17 draft as the 30-year old defender joins SKC's roster after one season in Montreal.
Gardner made five starts for a total of six appearances for the Impact in 2012. Prior to that he played with the LA Galaxy, Seattle Sounders, Carolian RailHawks and Columbus Crew.
