Sunderland midfielder Craig Gardner was delighted with victory over Stoke City.
The former Birmingham City man netted his first goal for the club in the 4-0 win over Stoke but preferred to focus on the team performance after the game.
"It was a brilliant day all round," Gardner told safc.com.
"We've been creating chances all season, they just haven't been going in but today they did. To hear the fans roar like they did was an unbelievable feeling.
"We needed to get these three points on the board. Now hopefully we can move forward.
"I can't wait for the Norwich game to get out there and get playing football again."
