Bolton Wanderers midfielder Ricardo Gardner feels they can take a lot from their Carling Cup defeat to Arsenal.
Gardner admitted it was frustrating to come away with a defeat but there were positives.
"I think we were unlucky to come away with a defeat given the way we performed," he told the club's official website, bwfc.co.uk.
"We just ran out of time in the end.
"We created more chances than Arsenal, and to do that at the Emirates Stadium really says something about the spirit and character of the team.
"The gaffer (Owen Coyle), along with the players, are obviously disappointed with the result. Nobody likes losing. That goes without saying.
"We've got so many positives to take from the game, and although we lost, we've just got to keep believing in ourselves looking ahead to the game against Swansea City.
"Hopefully we can carry a bit of momentum into our next game and with God on our side we can pick up three points."
