Hull City's fit-again midfielder Richie Garcia struck twice in their 2-2 draw at Atalanta yesterday.
Garcia, who started City's 2-1 win over Stoke at the KC on Sunday, picked up where he had left off at the weekend to send a timely reminder to watching boss Phil Brown of the Australian's importance to City's squad in the battle against the drop.
His performance will have given Brown much food for thought ahead of his side's 'six-pointer' against West Ham at the KC in eight days' time.
City went down 3-1 in a penalty shoot-out against the Italians but the manner of the performance - hot on the heels of the Tigers' attacking show against the Potters on Sunday - will have lifted morale still further before back-to-back home games against the Hammers and Everton four days later.
The game against the Serie A side was arranged to help fill the gap between last Sunday's clash with Stoke and the showdown with West Ham a week tomorrow, although the Tigers' line-up was shorn of stars following international call-ups.
