Javi Garcia suggests Manchester City's title pursuit is still very much on following the weekend's 3-1 win over Newcastle United.
The Spanish midfielder scored City's second goal as they bounced back from last weekend's 3-2 home defeat against league leaders Manchester United and he is confident of bridging the six-point gap with their neighbours.
"It was an important game after what happened against United. We had to show we could continue to have a winning mentality," he said.
"I don't know if the first half was our best of the season, but we definitely played very well. If we maintain those standards we can chase down Manchester United."
