Celtic new signing Cristian Gamboa has claimed that he is ready for the Old Firm derby on September 10.
The Costa Rica international has signed for Brendan Rodgers' side from West Bromwich Albion for a transfer fee believed to be around £1million.
The right-back is set to represent his national side in the World Cup qualifiers against Haiti and Panama during the international break and plans to return in shape for the game against Rangers which could be his Bhoys debut.
He said: "I think I'll be ready for Rangers, no injuries I hope, fit, so I'll just wait for the manager to say if he needs me or not.
"If he needs me I'm going to be here.
"If he wants me to go on the bench or whatever he wants, I'm going to have no problem.
Gamboa signed for the Baggies following an impressive World Cup in 2014, but could manage only 11 league appearances during two years with Tony Pulis' side, and is eager to start afresh in Glasgow.
He added: "I have closed the door and this one has opened for me at Celtic.
"This is a really big move for me and I am really happy to be here.
"The manager here plays a style that does suit me. That was also one of the reasons I wanted to sign."
