Gamba Osaka notched up their fourth win of the season with a 4-2 result over FC Tokyo overnight. Yosuke Fujiyaga opened up the account in the 19th minute and when Lucas added a second six minutes later it looked ominous for Tokyo.
A third goal to Gamba's Leandro minutes after the re-start put the home side in a commanding position and when Jae-Jin Cho made it 4-0 with 20 minutes remaining, the worst was ahead for the visitors.
But Tokyo managed to turn the match around and get back two goals through Naohiro Ishikawa and Tatsuya Suzuki.
Gamba are sixth on the table despite scoring the most goals in the competition but their leaky defence remains a problem.
FC Tokyo find themselves in 14th spot with a record of three wins and five losses from their opening eight matches.
