Gamba coach Nishino confident of good result against Kawasaki

Gamba Osaka boss Akira Nishino is confident his team will get a good result against Kawasaki Frontale in the Asian Champions League tonight.

Despite being hit with many injuries, Nishino believes his side can continue on as reigning champions of Asia and qualify for the quarter-finals.

"It's true that we could not return to the J.League (after the World Cup qualifiers break) in good form, but we should take an approach to the ACL as the defending champions," he said.

"We know that we will be marked tightly but we should overcome that and produce a result.

"Even if our team condition is not perfect at the moment we should put all the might that we have at the moment to advance to the next round.

"Our players are getting better day by day," added Nishino in regards to injured players.

"Frontale are a good team at the moment, having won their last four games in the league.

"We should show our pride and strong will."
